Once More Unto The (Writing) Breach- April 2018

So…here we are again.

At least it hasn’t been over a month…so…there’s that.

Anyway, let’s take a look at what happened in April! 😀

What I’ve Accomplished This Month

So…what had happened was…I didn’t actually suck at this as bad as I thought I would 🙂 Let’s break it down!

Good Intentions (an Age of Ultron fic)– 42 scenes edited (second pass)

I’m so happy I got to finish this!!! I’ve started posting it and the reviews I’ve gotten so far are quite positive (which is very encouraging, considering the unique nature of the fic). You can find it on Fanfiction.net and Archive Of Our Own. Feel free to leave a review if you read, my fragile ego will thank you 🙂

Broken Parts (a Winter Soldier fanfiction)– 3,003 words

So, this was what I was planning to work on all month, but…yeah, that didn’t happen. I was feeling really stuck, but then my friend Adan basically told me:

She was much nicer about it, of course. And she was really helpful, listening to me whine and talk through my issues (especially considering she knows almost nothing about Marvel, and cares about it even less than that :P). So we’re trying again for May. Stay tuned!

What’s Coming Up in May

My overall WordKeeperAlpha goal for this month is 35,000 words. And I”m doing pretty well! I’m pretty proud of myself actually. Adan’s kick in the pants (see above) has really helped me get my ass in gear.

I pretty much talked about this above, but I’m super excited about it! So here’s another excited gif!

For now, I’m just posting one chapter a week, but I’m considering upping to two chapters a month. It will depend on how quickly I can get the next two fics in this series finished though. Which leads into…

Broken Parts (a Winter Soldier fanfic)– 17,000 words

Right, this is happening! Totally happening! My plan is to have the first draft of this finished by the end of June (just in time to start another fic in July for Camp, but we’ll save that for another time ;P), and this 17k will get me very close to that goal.
